Best wishes card

For this card I used a piece of linen textured cardstock, it has an amazing feel to it.  I then added some coordinating, self adhesive ribbon with best wishes (glittery of course). I then got a piece of light green marbled cardstock for matting with the paisley pattern paper, this also has some lovely French writing on the background, to this I added ribbon and some blue pearls (top centre of paisley print), and white pearls to the  side of the main card.
This is very simple to achieve and can be used in most cases and for young or old, colours where kept pretty neutral too so that it would make a better stock card, for those just in case moments where you accidentally forget someone's birthday, or someone springs an occasion on you.

My first entry into a challenge

I have made this card, as part of the willow designs in the garden challenge. I choose to follow the sketch and the theme, it is a 5" x 5" card base. I coloured my stamp in with promarkers, and affixed it with silicone glue (another first for me lol). The bottom layer is some left over scrapbook paper I had,and the blue and purple strip is coredinations from crafters companion. I embossed the coredinations then lightly rubbed with sand paper, to get the nice distressed look.

Kanban Acetate Card

This is my first ever acetate card, and what better products to use than kanban.
I was asked to make a card for my friends husbands 50th birthday, he loves formula one so this seemed like a good idea.
To make I used my Ultimate Pro yet again to score an a4 sheet at  1 inch/1 inch/ a5 gate fold/ a5 gate fold/a4 gate fold/ 1 inch, and the a4 sheet of acetate at a4 half fold. I then mountain and valley folded these score lines to get the finished effect.
Before I combined the acetate with the cardstock with my red tape/ super sticky, I stuck red and black grosgrain ribbon, and a sentiment which was matted and layered on silver miri card and black coredinations. Also to add an extra touch I added a racing flag charm/brad to the sentiment.
On the acetate I added the Kanban topper, that I had matted and layered in the same way as the sentiment (silver miri card/ black coredinations).
Then as a final topper I found a speed limit 50 sign and matted that with foam pads onto some more silver miri card.

Valentine Teddy

This is just a very simple card I made using scraps, layered into a piece of gold miri card. The pink love heart was also from scraps, where I cut a shape wrong and this die cutter was just the right size. To finish I just put a Teddy stamp on the heart and a love stamp in the top corner. The ribbon was also left from another.card I made and only just fit.

Valentine 'Book' Card.

Hi everyone I hope your all having a great year so far and that it is set to continue.
I have been making a Valentine card and was trying to avoid red and love hearts all over the shop, as I know a lot of people are not into that kind of thing and this is what I have come up with.

The stamp was a freebie from DoCrafts creativity magazine and the sentiment came with it. For the die cut shapes I used the Spellbinders Fleur de lis (sorry if I have spelt that wrong please inform me). When colouring the dress and wrap in I felt I had to have some pink to tie it in with the background, so for this I used Antique pink from promarkers as always, and the dress was soft green and mint green.

This is an inside view of the card. For the background I used a few different digi kits I had on my computer, and made to fit. The sentiment which is layered on a spellbinders to match the front of the card and a standard circle, actually comes of the card it isn't glued down in any way so the message stays secret when it is open on the mantel (or where ever you choose to keep it). The card used was a pink pearlised cardstock and the fleur de lis is flush to the card and the circle is on 3mm foam pads.
I have a tutorial for how to make the Rose I hope this helps it is pretty straight forward, once you know how.

This is a card I made with my first go on serif craft artist 2.I love how the detail inside the heart looks hand drawn. To finish I just added a gem to the bow. Wont cost hardly anything to post but looks dimensional.

Kanban Music Record card

This is a 6x6 card, I have used some of my Kanban kit here again and a piece of 8x8 cut down to fit. You can take the record out of the sleeve.

kanban motorbike card

This is a simple card that could be used for any occasion. It is just a topper and sentiment matted and layered into silver miri card and a nice co-ordinating backing paper.

Paddington Bear suitcase cards

These were from a lovely little kit. The pictures inside are decoupaged, and the missing initials on the front of the card give you a sneak peak before you open it. On the handles there is a small Velcro dot each side to keep them closed. I am currently trying to make a template for something similar so keep your eye out it should be ready by the end of January 2013. Xx cat xx

Time for tea (picture updated)

I will try and update this post with a better photograph tomorrow.
The topper was from Papermania and the butterfly sticker, chipboard tag, side strip and backing paper are all from Create and craft tv.
The purple backing paper was actually a card blank cut in half and I layered it onto a lighter piece of purple card, and although you cannot tell in this photo it is textured but I will get better photos and update.
I then added some flowers that I made from the same paper as the lighter purple, to make them I cut a rough circle, cut it in a spiral and rolled it, to secure I just put a little glue on the bottom, and three diamontees in the top left and bottom right corners.
Finally I cut a flourish from embossed card stock that was too tone (pink and purple), you could emboss the paper yourself if you don't have pre embossed paper (it just so happens I got some in a kit), and the butterfly's where cut from some pink spotty vellum.
