Alien birthday card

Happy Birthday Alien Card.
Something a bit different. To create the background for the image, I dabbed a cotton bud in clear embossing ink then all over my paper, then got a green with multi coloured speckles embossing powder, and heat embossed. I wasn't sure this would work with a cotton bud, so was quite pleased when it did.

Triple easel card

I was recently asked to make a engagement card, for a ladies son and soon to be daughter in-law.
With out knowing any of these people personally, and " something different " being the only thing to go on, this is what I came up with. My customer said she wanted there names on the card to make it personal.

I hope you all like this as much as the recipients did.

Valentines Card

Happy Valentines everyone.
I made this card for my Husband, last night so he didn't peek round the craft room door.

Firstly I choose the image and coloured it in, with promarkers.
Then I folded an A4 piece of cardstock in half, and inked the edges with a coordinating colour.
then came basic matting and layering with gold miri card and a burgundy hammered piece of card, and a piece of backing paper from a recent purchase from Kanban, the image was used in the same way but firstly I inked the edges with the chisel tip of my promarker. I thought the off set layers were more effective than just square, but I know some people prefer to have things level.
To finish of this card I put a feather behind the main topper I created, a love sentiment that looks like a token from the fair, and some pearls at the edges.

I really hope you like this card.

Kanban all occasions

I recently like many many others, could not resist this amazing blockbuster brought to us from kanban on create and craft. These are the first two cards I have made with it. One is a get well soon card for a poorly relative and my sister and her new husband recently got a new family home. Xx cat xx

Love card

To make this card I first had to stamp and colour the background, I just did around the edges as didn't want to waste ink where I was going to cover up.
Then I made the banner for the middle with a chipboard sentiment and a fabric bow I tied from scraps using the bow maker on my ultimate pro.
Then I needed something for a backing so die cut a scalloped circle from a sheet if backing paper from the same pad as the bird paper used on the banner.
Lastly I glued on some Aurora borealis gems to the center of the flowers, just for the bling factor really but looks affective. Could use as a birthday, mothers day or just because card.

brownie cookie biscuit cake

This is slightly off the norm but its too good for me not to share, the recipe that is not the real thing my family had to fight me for that lol.

My daughter was poorly but wanted to bake so to make it easy, I thought a packet mix or two would be better for her with her being under the weather.

So I went to the local corner shop and picked up two chocolate cookie mixes, two chocolate brownie mixes, also a pack of bourbon creams for if we didn't like the cookie or brownie as we don't use these mixes we didn't know how they tasted.

But when I got home I remembered a recipe I had seen on pinterest  using oreo, cookie and brownie layered to form a cake, so we set to work and firstly made the cookie mixes and spread them in a lined pyrex dish, we then layered the bourbon creams on top of them, then we made both the brownie mixes but slightly more runny than the recipe called for. We then poured this on top of the cookie and biscuit.

All this was placed in the oven at 160 c  for 15 minutes, I then turned the oven off but left the mix in until it had cooled so a bit like cooking meringue. We didn't want to eat it till later when daddy was in from work and big sister was in from school, Katherine is nice like that I just wanted to eat it all up lol. so we warmed it back up in the microwave and served with single cream but I would love to of had ice-cream.
